About Me
I’m Paxton Lyman, a sophomore industrial design student at Pratt Institute with a passion for creating functional, visually striking products. My interests range from furniture and product design to 3D modeling and material exploration.
My Design Journey
Through projects like Exploding Light and my custom-built Retro Surfboard, I’ve explored SolidWorks, hand shaping, and a variety of materials to bring ideas to life. I love balancing aesthetics with functionality, pushing the boundaries of form and experience.
Inspiration & Approach
I find inspiration in movement—whether it’s the fluidity of surfing or the precision of industrial processes. My goal is to design objects that are both meaningful and intuitive, blending craftsmanship with modern techniques.
